BEGLEITE UNS AUF EINEN VIRTUELLEN RUNDGANG DURCH DAS HOUSE OF MUSIC
Since September the students of the BIMM Institute Berlin have been using the ultra-modern rooms of the brand new creative center House of Music … thanks to our new virtual tour, you too can take a look at our classrooms.
Nicole Deckers, Music Business Student at the BIMM Institute Berlin, takes you on her very personal tour through our campus in the House of Music:
Nicole shows you the ultra-modern campus and explains how she and her fellow students have used it since the House of Music opened at the beginning of the academic year.
In the video you can see the bright and cozy common room, in which the students can study and exchange ideas with their fellow students; the specially built recording studio and the live rooms, which were built to the highest standard with the help of acoustics professionals; the fully equipped Mac Labs, which are primarily used for music production classes; the drum room, which is equipped with Roland machines; the large flexible room that is used for lectures, tutorials and rehearsals and is equipped with a complete backline PA; the live room where the weekly masterclasses and lectures take place; and the café in the entrance area, which acts as a central meeting point.
The building itself is a former train station building on the RAW site of Berlin, in the middle between the two most creative districts of the city – Friedrichshain and Kreuzberg. It has been carefully renovated, turning a shabby shell into a 2.000m²
large modern music center was created, with each room carefully tailored to the special needs of the students.
The smiling faces in the video make it clear how much the students enjoy teaching, learning and exchanging with fellow students on this new outstanding campus.
College Principal Nick Donovan says he’s very proud of new space in the House of Music:
“Our vision of creating a specially built center for the music community in the heart of vibrant Berlin has come true. I am delighted to see how creativity unfolds in our students when they use the new professional college rooms and watch them become part of the city’s unique music community every day. “
The investment in the new location of the BIMM Institute Berlin in the House of Music has not yet been completed. Two live rooms and two production studios are currently being developed for the new academic year in September 2020. The university will continue to expand its resources in the House of Music in the coming years, adding a second recording studio, another large room for live performances and lectures, and additional Apple Mac laboratories.
