BIMM HAMBURG ALS ABLETON-ZERTIFIZIERTES AUSBILDUNGSZENTRUM ANERKANNT

25 March, 2019

BIMM colleges in the UK and Europe have a long and successful history with Ableton – the global music hardware and software manufacturer, with all BIMM students regularly taking advantage of Ableton’s industry standard production and service program, Ableton Live , and the groundbreaking Ableton hardware controller Push access. But the bond between the BIMM Institute Hamburg and the company has become even closer, because the music institute has just been recognized as an Ableton Certified Training Center – one of only a few in all of Germany.

The certification was granted to BIMM Hamburg after a thorough examination of the training rooms by Ableton and a strict selection process. The Berlin-based company found a match between the facilities and teaching methods of the BIMM Institute Hamburg and its own ethos in the areas of creativity, composition, recording and live performance.

In addition to the college certification, two Ableton-certified tutors work at the BIMM Institute Hamburg who will give lessons to the students of the college – drummer and founder of the record label Keller Sjoerd van der Sanden and the double Canadian Juno Award nominee DJ Noah Pred.

For our students, this exciting development means that they can use Ableton in their daily work and be sure that they are receiving the best education in the world. As Ableton-certified tutors, Sjoerd and Noah receive the latest updates and training from the music technology company as new programs or software developments are released. Our students also become part of the Ableton community, with immediate access to the latest news, events and offers from the industry.

The partnership also means that students at the BIMM Institute Hamburg also have high discounts on Ableton products, which they can save up to 40%.

Robert Witoschek, Business Development Manager at the college, is excited about the benefits of Ableton certification for every student:

“BIMM’s open approach to analogy in music and acoustic instrumentalists means that Ableton software and hardware will be used by all musicians at BIMM Institute – not just our music production students. Although we will use Ableton products regularly when recording they are also used in rehearsals, songwriting collaborations and live performances, so that everyone at the BIMM Institute Hamburg – regardless of whether they are studying performance, production or music business – will acquire professional knowledge of the brand. “

This highly respected award by Ableton is an exclusive privilege for the BIMM Institute Hamburg, as usually only educational institutions in the largest cities in the world receive this title. It is further confirmation of why Hamburg has earned its reputation as Europe’s capital of the music business.
